The Florida DETS course is mandatory for residents between the age of 14 1/2 and under 18 years old seeking a learner’s permit.
The 6-hour online program covers state laws, road signs, safe driving practices, and real scenarios.
Upon completion, you'll get your FLHSMV-Approved DETS certificate — essential for your permit.
We also offer the online Traffic Laws and Substance Abuse Education TLSAE course for those 18 years of age and older. Successful completion of a Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Course (TLSAE) is mandated by Florida Florida Statute (F.S.) 322.095 for all first time drivers over the age of 18 years.
This is the NEW APPROVED FL 6-Hour Teen Driver Ed course (DETS) is now required for teens under the age of 18 before applying for their learner’s permit.
